Nano Technology actually creates a flexible and breathable glass coating and with a thickness of approximately 10 micron, or 10,000 nanometers (depending upon the grade) makes it one of the most incredible and versatile items ever for protecting virtually any surface against almost any damage from hazards such as water, UV radiation, dirt and bacterial infections. The liquid glass coating is also flexible and breathable, which makes it suitable for use on an enormous array of products as well as its ability to block and withstand extreme heat.

When applied polymerisation takes place allowing for the ultra thin layer of Liquid Glass to set correctly on the surface. What is amazing is that there are no glues or resins within the matrix of the structure of the coating. The Liquid Glass layer adheres to a surface through the Van Der Waals effect. This means that quantum forces draw the molecules to the substrate layer it is coating. As a result any surface that is coated with Liquid Glass Protection becomes easy to clean with water and without the need of harsh cleaning chemicals.

The word ‘Nano’ comes from the Greek word meaning "dwarf" or small and we now use the term in a scientific sense. When we are speaking of Nano technology, we’re referring to size, measured in billionths of a meter. CGA Liquid Glass 9H Ceramic coatings are extremely durable, flexible, super smooth, breathable and ‘Super Phobic’. Being ‘Super Phobic’ means that it repels oil , water, and soiling. Dirt can attach, but will not bond, infiltrate or damage the coating and will not stick to the treated surface. Liquids such as red wine, or coffee, are unable to penetrate the coating even on fabrics, suede or leather. CGA can protect paint against paint-etching bugs, tree sap, acid rain, and exhaust stains.
This is because the area is protected with a Nano scale layer of glass. Most significantly, almost all treated surfaces can be cleaned with water alone. Solvents and cleaners are, generally, no longer required. This means that, in most instances, environmentally damaging cleaning chemicals are not needed.

CGA is non-toxic, non-flammable form of silicone. Think of it as very pure glass. In a vapor, it is still glass, so breathing large amounts is not recommended and precautions such as ventilation should be considered.

This truly revolutionary product contains pure, particle free, Silicon Dioxide – SiO2 – which means that it contains "pure glass". The glass is in a molecular form and is held in a liquid. It doesn’t become "glass" until it’s allowed to dry. Just for the record, the glass that makes up windows is not pure glass!

The MOHS Scientific Scale of hardness measures how hard and soft things are. The average vehicle paint hardness is betweeb 4Hard and 6Hard. Most vehicle paint can actually be scratched with a fingernail (6Hard)
Diamond is rated as 10 on the MOHS scale and is the hardest substance known.
Tungsten and Titanium steel are rated at 9Hard.
When you coat your vehicle paint with CGA C-Line ceramics the surface of your paint in effect becomes as hard as steel. CGA C-Line ceramic is rated at 9Hard.
The benefits are numerous, scratch resistance, UV protection and more.

Yes and No! I'm afraid that the answer depends upon what you consider a scratch. From surface damage to gouges, scratches are many things. CGA C-Line ceramic coatings provide a good defense against minor and small scratches, however, it can not protect against more severe, deeper scratches and damage. As an example, every time we look it seems scratches show up out of nowhere, 85% of these everyday scratches are just surface scratches on our clear coat. Buff with a good polish and wala most of the scratches are gone. The unfortunate thing so is a layer of clear coat. With C-Line ceramic over your clearcoat, 98% of the scratches are less severe and removed without clearcoat degradation. Buffing is like using very very fine sandpaper you can only buff a vehicle clearcoat a few times before you destroy what little UV and paint protection clearcoat provides. With C-Line coatings the clearcoat is protected, the ceramic becomes the sacrificial lamb. However, compared to a non-coated vehicle, the coated vehicle will be far less damaged than the non-protected vehicle. C-Line Ceramics can protect against surface scratches and 98% of those everyday scratches, but larger and deeper scratches can penetrate the coating.

No!

There are many grades of ceramic, some have a much higher Si02 content. You can tell if your ceramic is high grade if after installation the coating feels other then smooth. All quick ceramics feel very smooth after install, but high-grade 9H ceramic does not. Most installers when installing a high-grade ceramic will apply a "Top Coat" of quick ceramic so we get that wonderful slick as oil feeling.

So, all ceramics (if they are actually ceramic) will protect against things wax and other coatings could only dream of. But not all are 9H.

But to be straight forward 9H is just a selling point. If you rarely every get scratches then 9H may not be needed. A quick ceramic will protect your vehicle paint, give you great shine and last around a year.

Quick ceramic is super easy to apply, faster than wax with far more protection.

Rock chips occur with such force that no ceramic can stop rock chips. Ceramic may be able to lessen the damage but not even C-Line ceramic can prevent rock chips. If rock chip protection is something you continuously find, you may want to consider applying a film or other type of protection in that critical area.

Water spots are not just water. Environmental contaminants, acids, rust, calcium and more are in those water spots and can be difficult to remove from any surface. The high amount of contaminates in the spots build up and lead to ugly water spots that unfortunately are almost impossible to prevent with the application of ceramic coatings.

CGA has several methods that can help remove stubborn water spots from ceramic.

Polish. Polish is like very fine sandpaper, it gently removes extremely fine layers leaving a shine behind. HERE

Don't park under a tree.
Don't park where water sprinklers can spray your car.
Do NOT wash in direct sunlight or when it is very hot.
Wash and rinse small areas of your vehicle at a time.
Dry your vehicle, do not allow the sun to dry your car.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WAX SEALANT AND POLISH?

Paint sealant is generally only a synthetic wax. Wax and sealants are a short term protector!

Never use sealant or wax when using CGA Ceramic Coatings.

Polish is a cleaner that removes defects from paint surfaces in effect creating a nice shine. That shine will disappear FAST if the surface is not protected immediately. Polish removes layers off the surface. Polish like sandpaper ranges in abrasive from very fine to very abrasive (compound).

You can use clay and polish on CGA coatings to remove any hard water spots or other defects.
